The 24th Annual Miramichi Hoop Classic co-hosted by Miramichi Valley High School and James M Hill Memorial High School will take place Thursday November 17th, Friday November 18th and Saturday November 19th. 24th Annual Miramichi Hoop Classic
The 24th Annual Miramichi Hoop Classic co-hosted by Miramichi Valley High School and James M Hill Memorial High School will take place Thursday November 17
th, Friday November 18
th and Saturday November 19th. Games will be held at Miramichi Valley, James M Hill, and Gretna Green School. The tournament will feature 8 senior mens and ladies teams from across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Mens teams attending the Miramichi Hoop Classic are: Miramichi Valley, James M Hill, Charlottetown Rural High School, Amherst Regional, John Caldwell, Moncton High, Bernice MacNaughton, and Kennebecasis Valley . Ladies teams attending include: Miramichi Valley, James M Hill, Carleton North, Kennebecasis Valley, Woodstock, Southern Victoria, Saint John High and Leo Hayes. The finals for the tournament will be held at JMH with the ladies final at 2:00 PM and the men squaring off at 4 PM. Tournament passes are available at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. The tournament will tip off on Thursday night at MVHS at 6:15 PM with MVHS and JMH hitting the court in ladies action. That game will be followed up with the MVHS and JMH boys going head to head at 8 PM. Tournament organizer Ricky Stewart was quoted as saying “ this is without a doubt the strongest field of teams that we have attend on both the ladies and men’s sides, should be a great weekend of basketball.” There are free passes available for all Pulamoo minor basketball players.
