Next Wave High Performance Day Training Camp

The CANADIAN SPORT CENTRE ATLANTIC will be hosting a Next Wave high performance day training camp in Miramichi April 28th at (Miramichi Valley High School, 345 McKenna Ave, Miramichi, NB E1V 3S9) from 8:45-3:30pm.

The CANADIAN SPORT CENTRE ATLANTIC will be hosting a Next Wave high performance day training camp in Miramichi April 28th at (Miramichi Valley High School, 345 McKenna Ave, Miramichi, NB E1V 3S9) from 8:45-3:30pm.
The purpose of the day is to bring together athletes from the region to compete, learn, and be inspired in an environment with other athletes in similar situations, those looking to go to the next level, for example college, university or National Team. The general outline for the day will be a sport psych/mental training session, an interactive talk with a national team athlete, physical testing, and a workout and fun competitions.
Physical testing will consist of 4 tests (vertical jump, 30m sprint, medicine ball throw, and beep test). These are tests that CSCA does across many avenues and also relate to RBC Training Ground. RBC Training Ground is a new initiative (going into it's second year) with the goal of finding athletes from all across Canada who show great potential and who may not be identified otherwise; you can find more info at RBCTrainingGround.ca.
This event is open to athletes age 13-17, cost will be $20 and lunch will be provided.  The application can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GZVLN6Y or attached here. All interested athletes will need to complete and submit the application no later than March 29, 2017; this can be submitted through the online form, or paper form sent to Emma Hicks at hickse@cscatlantic.ca or faxed to 506 453-3511. All athletes will be contacted by April 3, 2017 with notification of invitation.
