Registration for the 2025-26 Season Opens August 19

Get ready, Miramichi — basketball season is just around the corner! The River Hoops Basketball Association is excited to announce that registration for the 2025–26 season will open on Monday, August 18. With programs available for players from U7 to U14, River Hoops is committed to providing quality basketball opportunities for boys and girls of all skill levels. 

Here’s a breakdown of the programs offered this season:

U7 Jr. NBA Boys and Girls (Born 2019–2020)

• Format: Once a week (Saturday afternoons, 75-minute sessions)

• Season: November to mid-February

• Focus: Introductory skills, fun games, and movement fundamentals

• Includes: T-shirt and basketball

• Cost: $75

U9 Jr. NBA Boys and Girls (Born 2017–2018)

• Format: One weekday training session + Saturday house league games

• Season: November to mid-February

• Includes: Team shirt and basketball

• Cost: $100

U11 Girls & U11 Boys (Born 2015–2016)

• Format: One weekday training session + Friday house league games

• Season: October to end of February

• Includes: Reversible jersey

• Travel Option: Competitive travel team available (optional)

• Cost: $100 + $100 if selected for travel team

U12 & U13 Girls and Boys (Born 2013–2014)

• House League:

  • End of September to mid-December

  • One practice and one game per week (no travel)

• Competitive Teams:

  • Tryouts: Second week of September

  • Travel for games/tournaments until Provincials in late February

  • Host local tournament and games

• Includes: Jersey

• Cost: $100 + $125 if selected for competitive team

U14 Girls & U14 Boys (Born 2012)

• House League:

  • End of September to mid-December

  • One practice and one game per week (no travel)

• Competitive Teams:

  • Tryouts: Second week of September

  • Season runs until Provincials in late February

  • Teams will travel and host games/tournaments

• Includes: Jersey

• Cost: $100 + $125 if selected for competitive team
