Pulamoo Mini Boys Win Mini Hoop Classic

The Miramichi Hoops Pulamoo Mini Boys won the Miramichi Mini Hoop Classic here on the weekend.  The Pulamoo defeated the North Side Lions from Fredericton in the final by a score of 34 to 33.  The final score was a reflection of the whole game, it was close the whole way.  North Side took the lead with just over a minute to play but the Pulamoo scored a hoop with about 50 seconds left to put them up by one and they were able to hang on for the win.  In the third place game  the River Valley Selects defeated the Riverview Royals by a score of 38 to 31 to secure the bronze.  The Pulamoo were 3 and 0 going into the final defeating Riverview 38 to 15, North Side 35 to 24 and River Valley 32 to 13.  The Pulamoo are off to PEI next weekend for 3 games.
