The Miramichi Hoops Mini Boy's basketball team brought home the gold
The Miramichi Hoops Mini Boy's basketball team brought home the gold this past weekend at the AA Basketball New Brunswick Provincials held in Hampton. The Pulamoo finished with a three win and zero loss record. In game one the Pulamoo defeated the Fundy Dragons by a score of 46 to 21. Ian Watters was named Player of the Game and Chris Cooke was the Hustler of the Game winner. Up next for the Pulamoo it was the St. Stephen Mini Spartans. The Pulamoo came out with a 58 to 23 victory to secure a spot in the final on Sunday. Patrick MacDonnell was the Player of the Game and Kyron Amos was the Hustler of the Game. The Pulamoo took on the Bath Monquarters in the final and were able to secure a late comeback victory by a score of 47 to 40. The Pulamoo trailed by 1 at the half and were down by as many as 9 in the second half before ending the game on a 19 to 8 run. Garret Dickson was named Player of the Game and James MacMillan was the Hustler of the Game.
