Crandall University to Offer Summer Hoops Camp

Crandall University’s Men’s Basketball Head Coach Matthew Sweezey and Miramichi Valley High Schools JV Boys Basketball Head Coach Philip Bremner will be running a summer basketball day camp from August 15-19 open to all kids in middle school and high school. There will be current and past CCAA and CIS players who will be camp counselors to help campers’ master skills. The camp will run from 9:30 am – 4pm Monday to Thursday with a one hour lunch from 12 - 1pm. Friday will be a half day that will run from 9:30 am- 1pm to accommodate people who plan on traveling for the weekend. The cost is $150 per camper and each camper will receive a Crandall Chargers t-shirt and there will be prizes on the last day. or by phone 251-1281. Campers should register early to ensure there spot in the camp. Campers are asked to bring a lunch and water bottle each day.

Monday 9:30am -12 am: Ball Handling and Passing

                 1pm-4pm: Team drills and Scrimmages

Tuesday 9:30am – 12pm: Defense and Rebounding

                 1pm-4pm: Team Drills and Scrimmages

Wednesday 9:30am – 12pm: Shooting

                 1pm-4pm: Team Drills and Scrimmages

Thursday 9:30 am -12pm: Offense (Attacking the paint, Post moves, etc)

                 1pm-4pm: Team Drills and Scrimmages

Friday 9:30 am – 1pm: Camp Competitions incorporating skills learned at camp and awards
