Summer Camps

Matthew Sweezey's  camp is for kids currently in middle and high school and the Sullivan camp is for girls currently in grades k-8.  See below for more information on each of these three camps.

Miramichi Summer Hoops Camp

Once again this summer a group of local basketball coaches will hold their annual summer camp at Miramichi Valley High School.  This one-week camp will focus on developing sound fundamentals through individual instruction and competitions, as well as team-oriented activities.  The instructors are all teachers in the Miramichi area and bring a wealth of coaching and teaching experience to this summer camp.  Contact Jim Watters at james.watters@nbed.nb.ca for more information

1) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Designated for players currently in grades K-5
                                       
2) 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Designated for players currently in grades 6-8
 Registration Fee: $55.00

Matthew Sweezey Camp

Matthew Sweezey, former Head Coach of Crandall University’s Men’s Basketball team, and current Head Coach of Miramichi Valley High School’s Varsity Girls Basketball will be running a summer basketball day camp from August 19-23 with Christine Steeves, assistant coach of MVHS’ varsity girls, in Miramichi at the MVHS Gymnasium open to all kids in middle school and high school. There will be current and past CCAA and CIS players who will be camp counselors to help campers’ master skills. The camp will run from 9:30 am – 4pm Monday to Thursday with a one hour lunch from 12 - 1pm. Friday will be a half day that will run from 9:30 am- 1pm to accommodate people who plan on traveling for the weekend. The cost is $150 per camper and each camper. Campers are asked to bring a lunch and water bottle each day.

Sullivan Camp

This camp is for girls currently in grades K-8.  It is a half day camp run by Brittany Sullivan (former player at Dalhousie University).  This is a half day camp.  Contact Brittany Sullivan for more information ebs6758@umoncton.ca
