Basketball Season is Set to Begin!

The Miramichi Hoops Basketball association will be offering basketball programs for kids in grades K to 8 for the 2013-14 season. Miramichi Hoops provides basketball programs to boys and girls outside of the school setting in Miramichi West. Miramichi Hoops offers the following programs and we are always looking for more players to have some fun

All Programs registration fees will be finalized in the coming days but will all be under $80 a year. Uniforms and Jerseys are supplied so no additional cost in equipment is required aside from a pair of sneakers. Affordable team play, fun activities and skill development for kids.

Small Ball Grades K-2

Junior Mini born 2004-05

Mini born 2002-03

Bantam born 2000-01

The Small Ball program is an introductory level program that introduces kids to the game, develops basic skills, and promotes the game of basketball through fun activities and games. Small Ball runs once each week on Saturdays from 1-2:30 PM at Gretna Green School. Program starts on Saturday November 2^nd.

The Junior Mini program builds on the individual skills learned in Small Ball and introduces team play and games. Program starts on September 29^th at 1 PM at Miramichi Valley High School for Mini Boys. The girls begin on Saturday October 12^th at 1 PM at Miramichi Valley.

The Mini program is a competitive program that focuses on individual skills and team play. Competitive teams are formed and play teams from other parts of the Province. Mini teams practice twice each week.

The program for Mini Boys starts on Sunday September 29^th at 1 PM at MVHS. The Mini Girls will begin on Saturday October 12^th at 1 PM at Miramichi Valley.

The Bantam program is a competitive program that continues to build individual skills and further develop team play. Competitive teams are formed and play teams from other parts of the Province. Bantam teams practice on average twice each week. The Bantam boys program will begin on Saturday September 21^st at 1 PM at Miramichi Valley. The Bantam girls program will begin at a time to be announced.

Some day travel may required for the Mini and Bantam teams as these groups do play out of town occasionally

* Please note that there is a $3 user fee for sessions at Miramichi Valley.
